I was inspired by Mariolee's SNES version of Super Mario Galaxy 2 for this one. So, it's basically an SNES version of Luigi's Mansion using the artstyle of Super Mario World and other Mario games around that time.
The Luigi on the front was made higher quality and edited by me. The template is my own as well (kinda inspired by Ervo for it).
Credit to various artists on Spriters Resource for the sprites used on the two screenshots.
Thanks everyone! Now that I look at it, the back does look a little bit empty. I've edited it to include some of those Mario clouds ... but I'm not sure if it looks better or not.
I feel a bit cheated (erm..jealous) that this made HoF and is being called creative when I did the same thing a few weeks ago.
But really good job Yoshistar!
Outstanding work! #21, making the box on the wii would be too predictable. They're obviously going to make another good luigi game for the wii, and the Wii is being overused a bit, I think. I like the wii, but being abstract is good too. 5/5 +fav ^_^
Awesome YoshiStar!

Really great, though I have to say the upper portion of the back looks empty.

To do what everybody seems to be saying about the back, I would suggest some clouds, like the oval Mario style clouds.
This is excellent. I love all the customization that went into the art. Just WOW.

Yeah, adding clouds to the back would be a good suggestion.

I love the retro look you gave to the game's screenshots and the pictures. The presentation is done very well as well. :)
LOL and Boo either looks like he's doing some heavy lifting of the picture, or doing something totally...wrong. LOL

#17, yeah, I'm surprised yours didn't make the hall.
Congrats on a well-deserved hall of fame, Yoshistar!

I kinda expect more of these type of clouds: link
However, I feel that what you went with worked well, too. It definitely works to break up the space, which was what it needed.
