I just got on today to post this box when I found out about the Indie Contest. I so wish I had entered! Though if I did, I would've done a better job. I like making Wii boxes for indie games, though I've only completed 2 so far, including this one.

Iji is a platformer freeware indie game made by Daniel Remar, aka Ultimortal, released in 2008. It has gotten so popular that it has been compared to World of Goo, Cave Story and La-MuLana, which have all either been published to WiiWare, or are in the process of being published to WiiWare.

I'm sorry for the lame back cover, but I got bored near the end. The whole thing itself took about 30, maybe more, but I had fun with it. I know it's not that good.

Anyway . . .

I love this game. One of my friends in real life introduced me to this game, along with An Untitled Story, Cave Story, La-Mulana, and I Wanna Be The Guy.

Box looks decent, the front looks ok, considering it is a screencap from the game, but the back needs to have screenshots as well as the text organized better.

Keep it up though, and it's so good to hear about another indie gamer.

#2 :) I'm really into indie games. An Untitled Story has got to be one of my favorite indie games ever. Along with Iji, make that. If you go to my profile you'll see that the other box I've submitted (which is a lot better) is of Jumper Two, which is made by the same person as An Untitled Story.

Good job putting this together.

If you have photoshop, try the blending options and add a drop shadow on your text. If you are doing it in paint, first add the text in black, then do the white and offset it by a couple of pixels so the white is on a black offset to get the drop shadow effect which will make the back of box text stand out for you. Keep up the indi work.
