You should've tagged this 'incomplete.'

Here's what's wrong with it:

1. Spine logo is stretched
2. There's a gigantic empty space on the back which should be used for screenshots or a description or accolades.
3. You have the 'Essence Collection presents' text followed by...nothing
4. There's no year on the front of the box as is customary.

All in all, it's bland and it looks unfinished.

#1, "You didn't do things the way I like, or are used to seeing, so it's incomplete."

Wow, are you kidding me? It looks great, and there are no rules that say whether or not a logo can't be distorted or changed, nor is there a rule against negative space. As for the issue with nothing after "Essense Collection Presents," it's implied that the game itself is the follow-up for that. It's like if in a movie trailer, it says "Whoever presents..." and then showed a textless logo on the screen, like the X-men symbol. It never specifically said what was presented because it didn't have to.

You're just as bad as the people who think that a box has to have screenshots, ESRB, developer/publisher logos, or all kinds of text on the back.

Conceptually I think this looks great, but you've certainly got some jpeg compression on that cover. It looks like you didn't do the logo on the front, but rather found it, stretched it, and used it.

If that's the case, I'm sorely disappointed.

#3, Well why don't you fave it if you love it so much?

This is not a good use of negative space. It looks like he saved it when he had some layers hidden and he forgot about it.

I don't think that boxes need to have screenshots, descriptions, logos, etc--if you look at some of my boxes you'll realize just that.

I don't demand boxes to fit the mold or the prescribed 'template.' But the box should look complete.

And while it's fine for logos to be distorted and changed, in this case, it looks stretched--which is bad. And this is not a case of 'negative space.' It's a case of the box being unfinished.

No sarcasm, and I don't love it, I think it's flawed, but is overall an attractive concept. My reply was mostly out of frustration about my interpretation of Grand's comment.

#8, I made no criticism on the concept, which I agree is attractive. But it's unfinished. Incomplete. Not whole. Lacking. You get my drift.
