Well, there were only 2 Jag boxes, and now there are 3. I wanted to bring back the old game while using new assets from the most recent release. Shoot, I would buy this!
#2 & #3, Thanks guys!! I put a lot of work into this and I thought there would be more feedback. Maybe cause it's not Halo 3, or it's not horrifyingly ugly. Maybe next time.
#4, Retro boxes don't seem to get a lot of love. Probably because a lot of users are too young to remember systems even as recent as the Jaguar. I know that my Dragon Age Sega Master System box didn't get much attention and it's criminal how many of these kids didn't know what a 3DO is. link
So few gamers know their roots. But I really like this just because it's a nice clean Jag template. Faved.
#5, Thanks man, I'm thinking of creating a PSD for the Jag cover (flat 2d print template). I'm closing in on 30 years old and I grew up with all sorts of games and systems. I also collect many old school games and systems. It was a large part of my childhood.
I think it's funny that some of the ugliest creations on the site get the most attention and comments. Seems like people are wasting their time by commenting on those.
I added a full res printable view, Check it out!! It's huge! You can really see some of the artifacting and flaws in that version.
#9 I love AVGN. My uncle had a Jag and this game. I played it a few times. I remember it being pretty cutting edge then, but really hard. The Jag controller was really sucky, had to use game overlays on the controller with 12 buttons!
I definitely wanted to try something different here, and I like what I accomplished. I think I'm going to do a box for all the systems I've ever played in my lifetime. That should keep me busy for awhile!!

If I'm not mistaken, AVGN reviewed the Jaguar and mentioned this game, definitely something very different from most material.
