Everyone was having a bit of custom art fever, so I decided to roll with it. Everything besides most of Bowser Jr and Mario (and even then I had to edit his face dramatically) is custom art. Yes it's traced, but still. :P
Anyways, I had just gotten some new photoshop paintbrushes I was going to use on another cd box for a band I'm doing, but I decided that with the recent fever, I wanted to do another Mario box because in case you haven't noticed, on VGBA I live on Mario boxes.
And Mario Paint DS was the perfect box for this type of project. Thanks to everyone who critiqued on my WIP thread!
Fantastic. I'd add a tiny bit more detail, perhaps a few clouds spotted around, but aside from that, great job. Only thing that looks a bit iffy to me is the random Mario items. Would've looked better if they were hanging by gold chain or something like that, instead of just floating there.
EDIT: The text looks kinda amateur after I took a final glance at it.
#11 Thanks Beer. The reason there are random mario items is they're suppose to signify the music aspect of the game. I was going to have notes and lines behind them, but there was too much stuff on the front.
