Credit to ADFD for the ESRB, ScorpionSoldier for the template. Most images were from the official site, however, I had to make the portal guy myself, seeing as the source image wasn't large enough. Portal 2 looks like it should be a very good game, also. Please view in full.
It looks alright, but there's a couple things you could take into account. For one thing, the leaves on the front have no sufficient texture to them, so they look more like flat, green silhouettes more then physical leaves. Another thing I don't like is the 3-d perspective is really throwing off the warping theme. It's just a horrible perspective for that kind of thing. The back feels uninspired, the screen borders are odd, and I don't understand that green splatter. The spine also takes away from the warping concept. With each half the colour of each portal, it makes it look like it's supposed to actually be a part of the portals, which doesn't seem to make sense, and that little machine doesn't need to be there. The overall design is pretty good, but I think it would look better with a flat perspective, without a spine, and maybe adding some kind of texture and/or adding drop shadows to make the leaves look more real.
I didn't see you posted this before in wip thread. Very good, everything fits together nicely. A few things I would change on the back such as screenshots but I really like the front. It looks like you got the idea from my box too we both had the same concept going I think that's pretty cool.
#2, Thank you.
#3, Okay, I will look into it. I thought the 3D perspective made it look cool, but I can change it. That "green splatter" is GLaDOS from the game though, a silhouette. Just so you know, it is not random.
#4, I appreciate it. I actually got a few ideas from your box, which I like. I tried not to make it too similar, though. I hope you don't mind.
Wow. Amazing, I like this version sooo much better. The background being the same on the front and back is alot better than before. I absolutely love the screenshot placement in the panels and the turret with the laser going into the front. That laser idea was brilliant. With this update, I can see it being used as the official.
#5, I like the fact you were inspired to make this by my cover. I think it actually turned out better. I said on mine that some things seem out of place, but on yours nothing seems that way.
There are parts I really like how about this and parts I don't:
+ Nice color scheme.
+ Nice layout.
+ Love the squares
+ I like the man being transfered from the back to the front
+ Love the laser!!
- Outer glow around logo makes it look amateurish and doesn't match the game.
- The mild blue glow around the man makes him look a lil bit glowy and faded-like, and it's not looking good.
- The leaves behind all the copyright text and stuff of the template looks horrid.
- Big bold black text. Not sure what you can do about that. Maybe experiment around a bit.
Honestly, I do like woopwoop's more because of the realistic leaves and vines and the darker colors that give the game a more evil look (which it needs). Silhouette's kinda work, kinda don't work. They work well on the back with the enemies, but the solid green leaves ... I dunno.
I think it would be cooler if you made it a lot darker and textured.
Thanks everyone.
As for some of YoshiStar's critiques:
1. Some of the official art on the site had the logo with a glow, so in that sense, I actually tried to make it look a little bit more official. However, I can work on taking that off, or at least lighten it a bit.
2. I can delete the glow around the guy, I know what you mean.
3. Leaves are easy to remove.
4. I'll see what I can do about the color and/or effects with the text.
5. I will see what I can do with the leaves, but I think it might be difficult to get a texture on them, but I will try.
Just so you know, today is my last day with the trial of photoshop, so it might take me a while to get another version, and today I probably won't have much time to work on this. But rest assured, I will work on it when I find the time.
Thank you all for your comments, it is appreciated.
Updated. I made it with darker tones. I also added texture to the leaves, like many people wanted. I deleted the leaves behind the copyright text. And I also changed the color of the fonts on the back a bit.

Shit, that's nice. I don't like how you put the screenshots, but everything else is awesome.

It's nice but for some reason it isn't screaming "Portal" to me.

I love the design, and how you added leaves to show that the Enrichement center was abandoned. Oh, and I love how this is on PS3.

Appreciate the upgrade compliments. Thanks for your help.

Nicely done, the way in which you've got the front and back tied together is done well. I've seen previous versions and this is a great update.
