I wanted to expand my horizons in cover design with something I had never done before: racing games. I thought Gran Turismo 5 was a good choice. Hope you like it.

Gorgeous, but the Mercedes looks a bit squished.

Are your covers printables? Or do you just make them inside these type of templates?

clean precise and eye catching, very good and very stylised, the best racing game box on this site.
But there's no PEGI in the bottom left corner.

#7, PEGI has been removed ( link ), beacause the game as been rated 3+.

#12, I don't disagree with this, the official box is my guide, I don't do anything that it doesn't.

#18, Part of the reason why I fav'd this box.

I couldn't find one problem, not one knick in the design, pure quality work.

#19, Thank you. I'm using Photoshop CS, BTW ;)

PS. I forgot to mention Sens for making the plastic case.

#23, If you don't mind me asking, do you use any plug-ins are anything, the pen tool?

[ Reply ]

avatar
Indexenos 43 [ 1 decade ago ]

#25, Yeah, I use pen tool a lot. It's very useful (in terms of vector shapes, logos etc.) and it gives your box a professional touch.

Deliciously slick, Index.

I love the blueprint-to-real render approach you used on the front. Although, the actual cover which no doubt inspired you, did have less detail where the white strokes are.
