Hey all! So, here's my Southern Lord Special version of Boris' Pink. Crazy band, amazing album... What else is there to say?
I wanted to keep it simple. Keep the back free aside from track listing, Southern Lord logo, and a small lyrical sample. You can also see Takeshi's double neck headstock-less bass/guitar on the back! One of the greatest instruments ever created!
#2, I wanted to go for a simple take on the art, and make it more of digipack for a special release. Looking back, most of Boris' art hasn't been anything too extravagant, and I did prefer to keep it sleek and devoid of much detail. I mean, seeing Wata on the front just chilling and playing guitar might through you off. That, to me, is a bit like Boris' music, cause you really never know what you'll get next. One album will be a split with Sunn 0))) and be very slow, and then the next will be Akuma No Uta which is just crushing and amazing.
I wanted the Southern Lord Special collection to be just a fake re-release with simple art and great music. I was thinking of doing Black Breath's Razor to Oblivion next.

I LOVE Boris, but this box fails to impress. Its just a 2 pictures with a pink overlay, and just doesn't look good in my opinion
