The Essence Collection template is modified from the one posted by Leegion in the resources section. The DVD case came from Pan. The Essence “e” came from the Essence Group. All other logos came randomly from web searches. I edited them to the color I needed. The tennis rackets were particularly fun to edit in order to make the net transparent.
I thought Pong was a logical fit for an Essence game. It is a true classic, and was the first commercially successful video game ever made. It also is a game that captures the “essence” of tennis. I know there’s a lot of disagreement about whether or not Essence boxes should be simplistic, but in the case of Pong, the game lends itself to being simplistic.
Thank you to Matt Star, Unknown Flames and Suibuku for posting in my WIP thread.
This is great! A definite fav from me. There are a few things you could fix up however.
For starters, this is your choice, but I think you should take off the essence template and just leave it with no template at all. All those logos are taking away from the simplistic amazingness of the art here.
Also, I think the typography and font choice here don't fit. The front is all pixelated while the back has all the smooth curves and lines. I think you should try a font that fits.
I am not sure how it looks but I think you should see if you can incorporate the word PONG into the front without losing the design.
#4, I always figured that "Unofficial" referred to unofficial boxes to games that have "Official" boxes because they are real games. Since Pong doesn't actually exist on the PS3 (to the best of my knowledge), I listed it under Humor.
#6, "A definite fav from me." You didn't fav it though. ;) Thanks for the indepth suggestions. I've noticed your comments around the site. I appreciate the extra time you spend on it.

To make simple is not so easy as it's seems. You made a great job on this, congratulations. But why did you post it in Humour ?

All of these are just my opinion however :)

#8, Thanks. :)
Wow! 21 Favs. That's more than all of my previous boxes combined! My next box will have to be insanely good to continue that trend.
