First box in a long time, and my entry to the VGBA Pretty in Pink round. Its all custom artwork, tablet work done in my equivlent to illistrator, though I do wish I had enough time to do a custom pose for Zelda rather than trace work.

My main aim was to do a Zelda box with less empahsis on Link. I think it went well in that regard, and doesn't detract from the box. I also wanted a very stylish and almost "thread-work" look, so I created a painful texture to lap over the piece as a whole, and I personally think its created a pretty unique look.

Hope you guys enjoy, and good luck everyone! Favourites and feedback appreciated :)

Oh, and FULL VIEW PLEASE! :D

pretty sweet man! very original. my only problem is I read the tagline as one word 'EMBARKONA', make the size a tad smaller and possibly double space if you can edit it. regardless. Amazing!

This is one of the most original Wind Waker boxes i've seen in a while, excellent work here.

The big pink thing (I have no idea what it actually is) is killing it for me. I really like the look you went for. Something just seems off about it.

#4, I thought it was quite obviously a blossom tree?

Done to the correct cartoon style, too - I'm pretty sure thats how they look in-game, and in quite a few other celshaded games. Though, thanks for the feedback anywho.

I really enjoy this piece of art, and it makes me question why you aren't added as one of my fave authors, as this proves your skill quite nicely.

I quite like the look of the blossom tree, and it's a logical choice for this theme and game. I'm also a fan of placing the spotlight on Zelda rather than Link, something that could be done more often. The custom artwork suitably matches Wind Waker's gorgeous art style, and the thread work texture gives it an almost "home made" feel.

I guess I was the only one who felt that way. The blossom area felt too circular to me.

#9, I see - I'm thinking of working on the middle, which I believe is the part you are talking about, aha, but would adding more sections to the centre help?

#10, Yeah, basically make it more of an organic shape, so you have less of that lollipop effect. Also a couple branches out of the trunk would add to it. Thanks for listening!
