Here is my submission for Round 3 of the VGBA Cup.
Harvest Moon 64. **Please view in full**
All of this is custom artwork, except of course the text, barcode, and seal of quality. Everything else is mostly custom, although some things are traced, of course. The grass was all drawn individually, blade by blade, as were all of the stars in the sky.
The screenshots were also 100% custom work, referencing other screenshots in the game in the process.
I put a lot of work into this one and hope you enjoy it. Thanks.

It doesn't remind me all that much of Harvest Moon, but since I've never actually played a Harvest Moon game, that could be the entire reason. It's a nice clean design though, I guess I would just expect a more daytime approach.

#6, I know what you mean, but I did try to make it a fairly large image so that it would be difficult to even tell from far away.
#7, Well Harvest Moon has to deal with farming, raising animals, fishing, going to town, etc. I tried to incorporate all of those different things while maintaining a design that didn't feel like it was 'forced' by the color constraints. A daytime approach would have been more reasonable, since you work during the day, but at the same time, the average consumer may expect a moon on a game called Harvest Moon, in my opinion.

If you were to ask me, I would say you did a fine job incorporating the many elements that make up the game. Farming, fishing, caring for your livestock and pets, etc. The front really captures that feeling of waking up (in the game, mind you) and tackling another day of life in Harvest Moon.

I think a daytime version of what you have here might have been better, but this is really good. Good to see you're keeping up the great work.

#2 The game's called Harvest MOON, there are no moons at daytime. ;) But I think a daytime version could be nice too, like a sequel or something.

I really think the lack of anti-aliasing takes away from the box. It doesn't look as clean and crisp as it could have looked.
