My 2nd submitted box on this site. I decided to go with Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness because I've always loved it so much (despite the mostly negative criticism).

I've put a lot of effort in this box and really took my time to make it the way I wanted it to be. I really wanted to bring out the darkness of the game and the main elements. I was confident enough to place it immediately. I'm open for criticism though :)

Credits mainly go to Indexenos for the PS2 template.

Wow thanks! Indeed, this looks way better. Although now the line at the top ''The Lara Croft you haven't seen before'' is cut of a bit on the right...

Edit: how did you do this? I'd like to apply this to my future boxes aswell? :P Then I can also fix the size of the top line in this box.

really nice for a 2nd!

(Looking at the dudes on the front)
Those graphics have really took a giant leap from PS2 to PS3.

#4: Thank you so much! My first (two) favourites xD
#5: Thank you aswell. And I know what you mean. I still think they look nice though :D. Even though the polygon lines are evident. I have to say that the in-game graphics look really good for 2003 standards (not just because I'm a fan :P).

But does anyone know how I can display my box properly in 3D? I'd like to do this myself so I can update this box and apply it to my future boxes...

It looks better in 3D, but lose the guy in the presentation at the back of the box (who looks at those dudes anyway), make the Lara render way smaller and put her in the right corner, it's to distracting at the moment.

One thing I don't get, Lara's boobs are round, but her shoes, fingers and knees are square? lol

#9: So in the presentation I should remove the Kurtis render (guy on the left) and make Lara on the right smaller and place it further away to the right? If I'm updating (again) I might aswell fix some other things too (I've noticed some mistakes, unfortunately).

About Lara's assets (:P), I agree that they are rendered way better than some other parts. In my next update, I'll see if I can fix that.

#10, I think it's more due the graphics at the time, there's nothing you could do about that.

I actually meant that last line, to be a joke ;)

#11: Well I think I can atleast make some parts rounder so it'll look better. I tried to get the best out of the game (in my opinion) so I might aswell update the resources :D. Off to update...

This is actually pretty neat. But if I was you, then I would change few things around. I would remove the glow from description text on the back. I would also add a small shadow to the back of the cover so it's easier to see where the spine and the back are separated. Also, I would remove renders from the presentation, it distracts too much from the cover itself.

#13: Thank you for the comment. I removed the glow, but I still think that it looks a bit bland that way. Instead I made the size of the glow really big, so it doesn't look like it's around the text. I did this because I really like the yellow brownish effect the text used to have. Now it's spread out more so it doesn't look like a glow (it gives the text page a bit more vibrance).

I added two small shadows: on the left and right spine. Indeed, now it's easier to tell where the spine is.

This is what the printable looks like now:

In the presentation I removed the two Lara renders and kept that huge circle symbol. I can't show that right now, because I need to be sure if the printable is okay first. If it's not, then I'd have to make that 3D box again, which takes some time.

So is it updated well enough?

For those who are reading this: I updated this box a while ago, but I hesitated what to do with it. I fear that this update won't really get noticed, but I feel I can't just resubmit it since most of the box is still the same. Looking back at my older version, it was just such a horrible mess. I really tried to tone it down with this update and give it a more fitting look for this game. Here's hoping this update won't go unnoticed.
