I wanted to make a cover for this game for a while and I finally got around to it. I wanted to make something simple, like the sonic boxes back in the day on genesis. I had to create the big circle behind the sonics on the front from scratch. Hope you guys like.

I'm not going to lie, it reminds me a lot of your mario kart and mario galaxy boxes. It looks really really good but its not as original as it could have been. :)

Quite a different color scheme from the usual blue/red but I like it quite a bit. While the front may be comparable to the Mario Kart and Galaxy boxes, it's very fitting here as well.

I felt like it needed more blue/red but that is me being to used to that color scheme with Sonic so I tried to think of the positive and why it was used and see it as a good thing. I agree with your critiques a lot.

No offense, but it's not your best. I think people are only Favoriting it because well, your the highest rank member on the site. There are better boxes that have less attention, and this is just an average sonic box. Don't get me wrong, it's good, and some of the small things are impressive, but I already know that this will make the hof just because you posted it.

Ouch ok. Most people here don't fav someone just because their a high rank. I know this isn't my best box and its just average. I didn't want this to be anything special. I wanted it to be like the old boxes back in the sega genesis days... You'd think people would read the description I wrote.

@TheNiceGuy It is a problem he doesn't make great work every time? Well shit... Almost all my boxes that aren't HoF I knew wouldn't get HoF when posting. I did them for fun. We do this to be creative and play with techniques and styles. So if a design is a flop and only gets a few favs that doesn't mean it' wasn't worth posting.

I find it appealing that when you post a cover, the quality is absolutely flawless, and I can tell when you just had a simple idea that you wanted to execute. To put it in a different way, not every single cover needs to be phenomenal.

That is what I love about him, I bet every layer has name and is foldered properly.
I know I do that sort of thing all the time, I count pixels to make sure spacing is correct lol.

idk why everyone that uses this thick template does this but the spine is completely wacked out. The angle on the top and bottom are to deep as if the cover is bending in. The top and bottom should line up with all other templates because the angle is the same but the width would be different. This has a fisheye perspective.
Though you are representing your art so I think the background fits the classic look well and I think it would look cool if you used this same artwork and made a Wii template based off the old templates from the classic Sonics.
