Hello :)
There was nice Orange Box competition from Gameplay Magazine few days ago. So this competition helps me to return to Photoshop practice.
So here are new box - it's a Portal (from the Half-Life 2 Orange Box).
You can see a main character (Chell) on the front cover. The front cover art was designed by Creed for competition (later we redesign it for the vgboxart together). Back cover art was designed by me only special for cover.
So both of the covers are totaly exclusive and cannot be found in the web. I think now this girl looks sexy :)
So credits to Creed and enjoy.

This design is crap. It says nothing about the game, or its gameplay. The character model looks like a stoned stripper. You have effectively taken one of the best puzzle games ever made and turned it into a soft-porn-fest. And would it kill you to use an official template once in a while?
You know, it's like a tribute to the competition art.
I like Portal, but I hate thousands of companion cubes arts. I think, Chell is something new ;)
By the way, in The Orange Box there is only few words about the Portal - I add a lot more info.
#8, That it is, but considering that you never actually see her in the game unless you somehow trick portals into showing you what she looks like, I would think that that would not be the best art to use for this game.
#10, I'm just saying that your art choice says nothing about the actual game. Neither does a companion cube or the portal logo. I agree that most Portal boxes are boring. But in the end...the actual design for most of the official art for Portal was boring.
I think it does put way too much focus on the scantily clad dressed girl and it doesn't suit such an intellectual game. Mad Spike I appreciate that you attempted to do something atypical though I dislike the result.
I honestly don't like and definitely have to agree with Koopa here. This box shows nothing about the game. the game is about using a portal gun to surpass levels with twisted humor. not a ***** with a box. The cake is a lie, the cube is forever, but this box is just horrid when trying to capture the true nature of Portals.

Just don't get this box too serious. This box is about design and some custom arts. Yes, Chell is a bit naked, but it's for fun - enjoy the view ;)

One thing I really hate about this box - the "This is one of the five games of the Orange Box" thing. Makes it seem like a big ripoff. And, if it's one game out of five, why is the box so damn large?
It is absolutely atrocious to think that this is in the hall because Mad Spike made it. This is possibly his worst box and it's still in the hall. Pathetic.
#45, you're barely even on. All you do is make your boxes, listen to people sucking up to you and leave. Who are you to say anything about being monotonous.
#49, I don't comment cos of my english, lol :) I also have a lot of work and I am a rare guest here. Anyway, I always check my favorite artists here and always trying to comment and fav their new boxes.

I HATE Portal i thought it was the worst game on the Orange Box. I like TF2. But to get on topic... I think the box is great looks even better in full view. I like the screens and how you put the poster thing on the back. You sir get a sticker. 5/5.
#60: OMG, you prefer Team Fortress 2, a game with bad graphics and 2-3 maps, to a game that's so genius, and so unique? Oh, I guess you just couldn't complete it. Anyway Mad Spike, it's a nice box, but nothing so spectacular I am going to fav it. It's nice, but not very nice. And yeah, if you want porn (either be it soft or hard porn) then there's other places to look, than a game's boxart.
Well, with a girl that hot on the front AND back, the LAST thing I would have made the box around would be a HOLE. It's got us guys thinking now, things we shouldn't be thinking, `least not about video game characters. Know what I mean?!

Seriously though, this is a damn good box. But what should I expect, it's made by Mad Spike.
