Just for a bit of fun... decided to have a go at a 'VG' boxart based on some of the members :)
FIRSTLY... sorry if you are not in the box, but I decided to use the ranking stats to determine who was in it. I would be nice to have everyone, but there's only so much space on the box... maybe in the next '09 version! LOL
Secondly... I put this in Satire... does it rate as Satire? I don't know? Anyway.. it's based on The King of Fighters series ofcourse.
Thirdly.. the front looks 'sketchy' -- this is because all the images of the characters were in different style... anime, sketchy, 3D rendered, etc.. so I had to filter all to get them to look somewhat the same.. best case IMO.
Anyway... hope you like... and as usual best in full view ;) OH.. I was hoping to put Finalfantaseer22 on the front, but I didn't know what character was on his avatar... hence one of his boxart is there instead ;)

#1, I need a BOSS character.. and well.. REED is the BOSS MAN here! ;) Not to mention, his avatar character was so small and well... not exactly boss-like... which sort of makes it ideal BOSS! LOL

I really like it, it's really well done and well thought out. My only complaints are the filter used on the cover (I understand why it was used, but that doesn't make it look any less amateurish) and the fact that it's a VGBA themed box, which was never amusing in the first place.
Great job, though. I especially like the well done screenshots and the move insert.

@#29, I agree its not a funny/satire box.
I personally would've made a new section for this in "unofficial", and I think MARKER himself was also confused about that.
I'm rating it on the design, which is definitely better than all other VGBA themed boxes, so far.

SATIRE or UNOFFICIAL ??
Okay.. originally, I was gonna put it in Unofficial, however...
1. Most of the VGBA boxes appear in the Satire section regardless if they are funny or not.
2. To me, Unofficial means a box that "COULD" appear on the shelves of your local games store. Nintendo could make 'Super Zelda Galaxy', Sega could make 'Steamboat Sonic', and Capcom could make a 'Resident Evil 6'. However.. a VGBA game wouldn't ever be made.. not for the mass market anyway ;) Not to mention it would infringe on the SNK King of Fighters copyright.
However... maybe there should be a guild line on the categories. What makes a Satire a Satire? Or Unofficial?

#39, got the same prob over at my "zelda sotc"-package. for some people it is a satire ´cause they only see the mix of zelda and shadow of the colossus. others, like me, see a unofficial package because there could be more about the game than just a simple copy of the original with diffrent characters

Metal Sonic sucks. Marker chose the top eight boxartists (we don't know what ff22's avatar is, and he hasnt replyed to marker's message so he didn't include him) and i was #9 before Star89er took over. you're not even ON the top 25 artists. you've only been here 3 1/2 months anyway.

I might do another VG box for all the peeps that wasn't included in this one.. a bit like my Brawl box spread across front and back to fit everyone in (but NOT brawl ;))
BTW.. just in case anyone wondered why there's a BIG 'G' on the back of the box... I originally had a big 'V' on the front, but after adding all the images on front.. the blending looked terrible with the 'V' there (it's actually still there, but in the back.. just make out the edge next to the jagged 'B' in title) ;)
