#2, didn't Reed say that it was O.K to use a wallpaper in the forums?
Use of unmodified wallpaper is fine. View boxes for what they are and judge them on their own merits. A box with a wallpaper and logos can be very good (often official boxes are just that), though that will only get you so far. What separates the greats is their ability to modify, combine and create.
What he means is, putting a logo on a wallpaper is generally frowned upon, and shows little effort. you are right in saying there is no rule against it, but 'that will only get you so far. What separates the greats is their ability to modify, combine and create.'
#6,7 I worked hard on deciding what I should do. Like, making the back, it turned out sloppy, So I took it out. I think I should make it back, Maybe it will make it stand out more. And, I have a good record on not getting in to ONE argument on this. Alright, I had a 3-post mild argument with lenny, but I do not want to get into another one, especially on my own box.
#8, Well, that hard work didn't show a bit in the final version you have here. You should probably work harder and use something other than that squished wallpaper. Trust me, there's plenty of Mario renders out there.
I worked hard on this, I thought of making a back, but I realized it wasn't very good. Credit to GRP (Gameroomproductions) for the logo.

#3, What he was saying was that he didn't see why you said you worked so hard on it, considering it was just a wallpaper.
