Having been told that all the LEGO boxart were to be removed from the site --- which meant my Lego Batman box --- I wanted to remake the box again.. like some of you have mentioned in Reed's announcement post. However, remaking with other types of "blocks" wasn't a good idea IMO... so I thought, I'll do something different and make the box in Play-Doh (Kid's Modelling Clay). It meant the big "L" can't threaten to take action on it since I'm not using an images of their bricks. :)
Unfortunately, the box hasn't turned out as I liked as I kinda forgot that leaving it in the open for a day.. it dries out and becomes solid!! OOPS! So I couldn't really remodel things after the first day of work... hence I've kinda decided to finish it quickly. Anyway... as you can see, mostly made with Play-Doh, screenshots quickly drawn based on original images, printed and stuck on.. (as well as original speech bubbles and other text).
Not a great 'boxart', but I just wanna put my Batman box back into my gallery :)
The creativity alone is worth my fav Marker.
I think you did a great job with the clay renders! Lol.
extra points for cutting everything out as well. If I came up with this idea, I would have scanned the clayed.
#19, Agreed. This is one time when I would have said just cut your losses and move on. You already own the Hall as it is... losing one box to copyright infringement isn't going to kill you. This...this just looks bad. A shadow of its former self.
I think this is the only box by you I don't like. The whole Play-Doh thing IMO looks crap. You get 5/5 for creativity though, atleast its different from everything else on this site.
