I've been recently exposed to the insanely brilliant world of Criterion Collection covers, mainly from the post by dmshaposv. The boxes have inspired me to create boxes that relate to the story well, and just look beautiful, without the help of flashy effects etc.
Anyway, I decided to use a film I've watched recently. It's a Korean flick called Sympathy for Lady Vengeance. The performances in it were top-notch, especially the lead actress. I used the color scheme of the Korean poster as I felt it represented the main theme of the movie: innocence fading. The green represents innocence, but it is of a faded green colour, and I used the blood red colour to represent the strong vengeance in her, which is the main plot of the film.
One of the best things about this film was its really astonishing musical score!!! For some reason I think this excellent artwork would also look nice on a CD case for the soundtrack. The official digibook soundtrack art is a bit plain.
I watch a huge number of oriental films. I have 100's of dvds that consist of chinese,japanese,thai,korean and malaysian. This is great work Elcrazy xD
Excellent. The movie compliments your style very well.
The use of colors and typography are terrific. I've only seen Oldboy from the vengeance trilogy - but I'll check this one out (along with Park's new film "thirst") soon.
Oh my;
I love the colors, typography, layout, images.. everything!
Definitely my favorite box on this site so far. This better make it in the MasterWorks.
Love the colours and typography.

Very cool my man, very cool indeed. Loving that half-tone, scratchy style you have there.

Yea I liked this one more than Old Boy. Old Boy was really good, but this was just a little better. Great box.
