Seems like both me and El Crazy are having a blast making criterion covers!
I really disliked the official Benjamin Button criterion cover. So for this one I went for a more novel cover approach. The front is the "devolution" from old man to baby of Benjamin, at the same time Daisy is growing old, normally.
This is part II of the Pitt/Fincher criterion collection I'm working on.
Part I was The movie "se7en" which can be found here: link
The third Pitt/Fincher film will be the magnum opus - Fight Club. I've been asked to make a cover for that by quite a few, so I'm looking forward to it.
P.S. I do NOT have the hots for Brad Pitt! :p
If you think I only make movie covers involving him - He happens to do great movies and is a good actor (as well as a good looking one too). ;)
And I totally agree with you! The Pitt/Fincher movies are amazing, and Pitt is an excellent actor. I did Fight Club too, long time ago, but I would love to see yours.
BTW, I'm working on my third Criterion cover: Eyes Without a Face, challenged by Drakxxx. :p
I'm not a big fan of the movie, this is why I didn't check out this art yet.. Just incredible. The front cover sums up the story in a concise and "logo"-style manner. The whole composition is stylish and elegant. The contrasting colours, the fonts..
I love everything about this except for "Benjamin" being backwards on the cover. For me, that seems like you're over-complicating an otherwise clean and clear design. Props for everything else though. +FAV

Awesome.
Having never seen/heard of the film, that front sums up the basic plot of the film for me.
And makes me want to watch it.

#4, It's an interesting movie.
We're watching it in English right now.
Anyway, the front nails the theme perfectly, as does the back.
I'll be faving this one =)

Magnificent box, especially the front is really appealing.
That front might be the best front i've ever seen on a box.
