Sure took me a while to finish this one, meant to mimic ADV/Sentais latest sets that have 2 bricks in a paper slipcase. As always, comments and critique is appreciated.

is this for the VHS version of the film? I think it's kind of cool if it is, as it depicts the film's old school roots. This is one of the first films I saw when Anime was picking up in the early 90's.

Great design, and the colors look fantastic.

Some images are a little low quality in full, but this looks great. never heard of it though. like the map in the background.

#2, It might look like that but it is mean to be 2 bricks (fat dvd-cases that can hold more discs) in a paper box. I should have added some plastic to them to make it more clear but somehow that slipped my mind.

#4, That's a problem I'm sadly aware of, finding hi-quality scans for such an old show is really an chore. Never heard of? You sure are missing out on some heartwarming old-school adventure.

Well i'm pretty sure the first anime i every watched and loved was Speed Racer, so there wasn't anything else that would even cross my mind. I was pretty young though.

I assume you went back and watched this right? as you are younger than i am and i don't think you were watching subs when you were very small unless your parent are into anime as well.

Nadia is the only anime I've ever followed to its end. Good old days...

Thanks guys!

#6, Yeah, I bought the limited tin-box a while ago but since that is so freaking plain and on top of that dented. My only encounter with Speed Racer was the Hollywood flick which was... um, interesting.

I dug up my old VHS tape of this, and forgot that it was released by Streamline Pictures originally in the states. Although Streamline is long out of business, and the rights to many of the films they released are strewn across several other distributors now, a "Best of Streamline Pictures" DVD set might be a cool design for you to work on.

Your anime box designs are easily my favorite on the site, and a box set featuring films like Akira, Fist of The North Star, and Neo Tokyo would be really neat. Just an idea. :)

#12, It's an idea but when I checked up on their old licenses there where hardly any title that I was familiar with. Sadly.
