This took a bit of work as all the covers were done at 300 dpi. I went after a "concert flyer" look for the poster, while for the boxes mostly art from the 70s was used: the covers from "Destroyer" and "Love Gun" done by Ken Kelly as well as artwork from the 1977 Kiss comics by Marvel.
So, why Genesis? There's less than half retro Sega boxes compared to Nintendo, we need to do something about it!:D Why Konami? In most cases their logo on a licenced game was a guarantee for good quality. And I just love their old-school logo!
A redo of the NES Konami box formed the basis for the US box, while Fatal Fury is maybe too obvious as an ispiration for the Japanese back. I was a bit lazy with the screenshots as I'm not very good in sprite editing.
Apologies for the big image (2400x1200), I had to make it as small as possible without losing much detail.
I had lots of fun while doing this, I hope you enjoy it too :)
You've done it again man, with total style and ease. I agree with the lack of MD games here (not to mention Master System). This is simply brilliant, love the use of material and how its been composited. And what a great subject to base it off: Kiss!!!

This is really great. I didn't think it would be anything special after seeing "Kiss (GEN)" on the front page, but this is awesome. Lol at Kiss video games though... is there anything you can't get that isn't Kissified? You can get fucking Kiss monopoly...
