Wow. Great, just great. I do agree that is not really fitting for Essence, but it defiantly deserves a fav IMO. That really is a different style to present a Sonic game in and i think you've pulled it off quite well.

I'm sorry, but I agree with Koopa here. This doesn't fit the Criterion/Essence style AT ALL. It's well made though.

Stunning work man. The artwork you've used is a bit to descriptive for an Essence design in my opinion, but the design is really nice.

It's gorgeously simple but there's a little too much white and the text is too light. Still a great box though.

I both like it and dislike it. It looks messy but at the same time stylish. I can't say I'm a fan of those splatters, but it's a bit more unique than other Sonic boxes. The typography is really generic. I don't know why you used such a simple logo, when the picture on the front is actually quite the opposite of simple. It feels like you made it an "essence" box so it looks more artsy-fartsy, when in fact it doesn't do what an essence box should do. People seem to think that essence means simple-but-stylish. That should only apply to games that actually ARE "simple but stylish" and that isn't many games. If anything, a lot of other Sonic Adventure 2 boxes on this site capture the game's essence better than this. That's not to say this isn't good though.
To summarise, I'm very on the edge about it. It's definitely a respectable effort though, and while I haven't seen much of your recent work, it seems to be an improvement.

Design is kinda good, but the logo is not working for me. Besides I think something is missing on the front - could be too much white space between the charakters.

#47, They're very clearly splatters. Even if they weren't, haphazard "spotting" like that just doesn't look good. It looks cliche' and reminiscent of Wal-Mart graphic T-shirts.
