I think that adding some line work on Rouge would make her look closer to the old artwork, but boy is that a minor gripe. She still looks like she fits for the most part. Awesome job on this retro-inspired masterpiece. I love all the custom work that went into this.

Holy shit dude, this is awesome! I was instantly drawn to it!! My only gripe is the lack of small print on the back to make it look more authentic, but i really am clutching at air for that. Otherwise, a fine addition to the retro box library!

#7 About the Rouge thing, if I was you I should try to do a custom artwork of rouge based on the Amy's artwork from Sonic CD and see some result. But it was just a idea that came to my mind.
Oh, and in the back is wrote "ply", it should be "play"

I personally think Shadow just looks like a re-painted Sonic rather than actually Shadow. I think you should of changed the eyes to make him a little more angry-looking. Shadow has red marks on his arms and legs, which would of made a big difference. Also there's a few spelling/grammar mistakes on the back.
But hey, that's just nitpicking because this is one of the most creative and innovative Sonic boxes I have seen on VGBA. If you would of fixed Shadow to make him a little more Shadow-y and less Sonic-y then this would of been a perfect box. But that doesn't matter, I'll fav for the ambition alone.

I like it a lot, but you could do with matching up the art styles better, particularly on Rouge.
And as Cerium said, Shadow needs some work. He looks good, but there's a few details missing that make it look too obvious that you recoloured Sonic. Look here (link) and you'll notice some extra details like the rings on his shoes and stuff.

#12, I tried to come up with something Amy based but there was no amy artwork where she wasn't either in a totally different art style or being bitch choked by Sonic.
Where does it say "ply"?
#13-14, I thought about making shadow more authentic but honestly... It didn't feel right, he looked better with a simpler design so I left it the way it is in the box. And I know what shadow looks like, give me that much at least. Also know that constructive critisism it's very appriciated. :)

Spectacularly done, Eggboy. You've come a long way. The style is just wonderful to see. Rouge still looks a tiny bit CG, and I have to say that Shadow looks uncharacteristically friendly. A little editing of his eyes would be an easy fix for the issue.
Just great. I think this is the first image you've done that I've favorited.

That's much better. I do think Shadow could benefit with the yellow rings, though. His colour scheme looks a bit dull at the moment. Anyway, here's a fav. I'm proud of you son ;D
