This is by far my best box. I literally started with a blank workspace in Photoshop, built the template from the ground up, rendered the game logo and Bioware logo, wrote out the text (didn't actually translate it so blame Google Translator if it's wrong), and retyped all of the offical stuff.
You really need to view it full. You'll notice that all of the legal text is 100% accurate.
So yeah:
Template -- Me
Renders - Me
3D Template - Some crazy small Master System fan forum about 20 pages deep in a Google search.
This box took a little over 4 hours of rigorous working.
(And it's for the Master System--it's not listed as a platform on the site so I put it under Genesis)
Comments are appreciated because I've never worked as hard on a box.
#2, Yeah well it was the only 3D template I could find. If anyone has a better Master System/Genesis 3D template, I'd love to have it because I want to make more of these kinds of boxes.
Holy shit, this is ace. Crisp, clean, origional, official looking - and you've done an ace job displaying it, its freakin' hard to draw 3D geometric shapes in PS and have them come out right. Fav and author fav.
#15, The trend seems to be that older SMS boxes (pre-1990) primarily used a generic font with serifs for their logos. As a result, a lot of early SMS games have really ugly box art. But around 1991, they started taking a cue from arcade flyers and other consoles and prettied up their box design.
#17, Thanks. I got it (and the screenshots) from a scan of an old arcade flyer for a kickass Capcom game called Black Tiger. Sometimes it's known as Black Dragon.
*Must* be viewed in full.

Very official looking, I don't really like the perspective though.

I'd usually hate that old Master System box, but this works well. Good work.

Now I notice, there's no Master System section, but has a CD-I section... wtf?
Oh well, about the box: I LOVE IT! I'm so want to play this game because of your box.

#19, yeah it is weird. Reed should make an SMS section.
