Comment on jesse777's Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty Box Art / Cover.
This started out as originally a collab between me and death, death was very inactive and uresponsive so I replaced him with Joeseye. Credit to Indexenos for the template, Joeseye for 3D, and finally MG for the essence template which was originally PS3 but I had to edit to PS2.
This took a huge ammount of effort from both of us. Comment and Favorite if you wish.

Great job guys, final result looks really nice.

The front should match the back, meaning the back's character has a light blue/blue/white hue, the front should have the same to stay in cadence.

#3 I will readjust the hue on the front, I think I altered the curves or the brightness of the front.

It looks good either way, thanks for trying at least.

Yeah great job guys. I like the layout of the front and the backgrounds that give the box a watery-grungy look. I personally love the contrast of the characters on the front.
Hmm... I like v1 better. Just a personal preference though.

So awesome, the front and back go together very well. I do agree with Qwerty about v1 looking better, but it's still great regardless. Fantastic job from both of you!

Just fantastic!

Ah, so you uploaded. It's hard to make the front and back consistent when it's an essence box, so I was a little skeptical at first. I gave it a shot and I think it worked quite well though. That's an american flag on the back, by the way. Thanks for viewing guys.
Also, I think you should revert to Version 1 man XD.

Really great collaboration gentlemen. I like the over saturated colors a lot, and the blue looks really nice.
[ Reply ]
I like the blending. My nitpick is on two things: 1) Try to lower saturation on the characters (maybe it's just me). 2) Essence. I think it'd look better on a simple PS2 template with some screenshots. It's a good collab, but (sorry to say it) it doesn't make much sense as an essence box.

*18 Well thanks for the critcism anyway I might just change that.

#18, we tried to capture the essence of the game in the box. The american flag represents liberty and the political themes of the game. The 'DNA' structures add to the 'gene' part of the MGS theme (the lineage and genetic engineering of the games characters etc.). I also feel that Snake and Raiden represent both halves of the game's plot.

Beautiful work! I love the texturing and the color scheme works really well with the game. I'd say my favorite part is the imagery on the back, with the flag in behind Snake.

Beauuuutiful. A different take on Metal Gear Solid box art. Most of the time, people go with gritty, less is more, and very muted tones and colors. You said "Screw that!" and went all out by adding a lot of blue and hints of purple and turquoise, and it just looks great. Congrats!

I love the back.
