I am going to repeat that throughout this message.
This was the first box I did after a hiatus from Photoshop. I was so inspired by NEOGAF MEMBER BERNBAUM's cover that I wanted to recreate it for a full box. The version I did is slightly altered, SLIGHTLY. I wanted to go for a retro magazine feel, so I added a spine and staples, weathering, and a few minor updates to differentiate it. I also wanted to keep the PS3 template, but give it a retro feel as well, so I hope it turned out well.
ALL CREDIT GOES TO NEOGAF MEMBER BERNBAUM!
I know that the American History X box (Hellknight?) brought with it quite a bit of controversy, so that is why I want to make sure that you see I am not taking credit. I just loved NEOGAF MEMBER BERNBAUM's cover so much, and I would love to display it in my collection that I did what I could.
I originally brought this to the critique thread when I first joined, and got some tips, but in the end I decided to keep it pretty much the same. I didn't want to make the buildings so detailed because I think it would have detracted from the simplicity of the box, but that was just me.
Again, go check out BERNBAUM's original cover right here:
ALL CREDIT GOES TO HIM. If you have a problem that I copied it, don't favorite. It's that simple. I used it to improve my minimal skills and I think it turned out well, and I've been having trouble lately creating anything.
I hope I made it apparent enough that BERNBAUM FROM NEOGAF CREATED THE COVER AND I TARANTINO'D IT.
Regardless, thank you very much, I really appreciate it. Anybody know how to decrease a file size for a HQ image without decreasing the quality? I have that problem with 75% of my printables, and this is one that I wish people could see full size.
Not bad, I instantly recognized the design. Interesting typography on the back, which I'm liking. There could have been more variation in the text size, but that was probably intentional.
#6, slightly intentional, mostly unintentional. This was before I really got heavily into using typography in my boxes, so I just mixed a little chaos and got it to fit on there.
#9, thank you so much for the comment! I was thinking of a border around the back, but I decided against it. In a day or two I will quick throw it on there and see how it looks!
#10, thank you too sir!
If you haven't noticed, one of those pesky Little Sister's drew a picture of a Big Daddy somewhere on the magazine... Let's see if anyone can spot it...

#3, Hahaha, I was joking :P
And, no I don't really know. Just the standard making it a jpg instead of a png.

After reading the quote on the back, I have the biggest craving to play Bioshock.

This is really nice, I love the template you're using, really nice template. You should put border on the back too.

It's cool but the typography kills it for me. The back needs a lot of work.

#12, any suggestions then? I mean, what exactly kills it for you?...
