I know the renders on the front have been used quite a bit, but I wanted to change the scenery up a bit and give it more color. Pretty much to show that their living in a crappy world, but there is still beautiful things in it.
I also didn't want to put screenshots on the back. Felt it would have just ruined it. The back is a combination of a screenshot and artwork for the game.

That's Cool , I really Like the front .

Some of the colors on this are too pink. I don't think the white splatters on the front are appropriate. Also, the characters on the front look a bit horizontally stretched. Good overall though.

I can see why you think their too pink. But their not stretched at all. I actually reduced the size evenly. link

@jevangod OK, it might just be the presentation.

Being top designer on vgba there isn't much that can be critiqued in your work so I get more detailed and nit picky to try to still help make every box a learning experience.
Don't know how well you know typography terms like kerning, tracking, etc. but the only critique in this whole piece is the kerning on SURVIVAL. You can custom kern things with option<arrow left or right. This allows you to correct kern mistakes. What makes these mistakes is kern pairs. When building a font you have to set the kern pairs. V next to the A and next to the L will have a different kern than U to D because of the vertical or diagonal stroke. Also check the spacing on your barcodes top compared to the side.

Im not a huge fan of the overused front. Almost every Last Of Us box has that front with them two standing like that.
And the back is just a copy and paste wallpaper again. Not too impressed.

Like I said. Not much artwork for this game. They just released a new piece yesterday, but its a pretty big wallpaper that would work on a ps3 bundle cover.
The back isn't a copy and paste wallpaper. link Look at the different between the two.

People tend to use the same artwork for games for a reason.
[ Reply ]
@Throavium Indeed, but that doesnt mean that people should use almost the exact same artwork with little effort.
It makes it look like a noob did it who knows nothing about design.
For example my newest box Max Payne 3, it was almost completely custom made. The only thing i used that was from that game, was the Logo, Max´s head from a screenshot and 3 other screens as pictures on the back.
Not just change one little thing. It makes you look like a copycat. Do your own thing thats all im saying.

The color adjustments look very nice and match very well and great job on merging the artwork with the screenshot, it looks very natural, lol.
I do agree with Throavium about the splatters though, maybe a light grunge effect would be more appropiate?
The seagulls at the top on the front seems to interfere with the PS3 logo a bit, but that's part of the image right?
And lastly, too bad there aren't some features and screens on the back, but I do understand why you considered not to add them in the end.
18 MB HDD required? Yeah, right. lol :p just joking

Now this is a "simple" back that works well. I like it.

I think it’s perfect.
Shoot, you made this with a few released images and some footage.
They really haven’t release too much material from this game and yet you still pulled off a fantastic design.
